Brighton-based collective (and friends) AtticOmatic release two new songs 'Jericho', and 'Align Us'. Produced by their own Lorcan Forder, these are their first releases on Pool Valley Music, a Brighton-based, student-run, nonprofit record label striving to give exposure to rising artists. 'Align Us' is a particularly moving track that sees the soulful vocals of Lorcan Forder and Kamran Kaur unite for a melodious and emotive duet, and there's one line that sticks out as being particularly poignant, 'need you to align us, please don't divide us'. The production consists of chunky hip-hop drums, ambient electronics and saxophone that unravels like a ball of yarn. The track makes you feel at ease, but not so much that you become complacent; there's still a sense that things could be better...fairer, and there's hope for that positive change at the heart of this track.
